I'm thinking 7.80 in the 1/8 mile on motor maybe 6.80 on 150 shot on a progressive to save the 10 bolt till i can afford a 9in. Got a 2014 5.0 I need to getaround. he runs 6.90@103mph on 100 shot

 

I think 7.60's NA and 6.80's on the 150 are reasonable goals. So much depends on the tune. You're a little under-geared, especially NA.
Your buddy in the Furd is not getting off the line at all running only 6.90 ET. His trap speed shows capablility of 6.60

 

3.73 is normally the best gear for a car like that. if you have the stock diff or open thats going to hurt, and if its stock weight any thing you can live without will help. i got rid of a few big black garbage bags of junk when i was racing mine.

 

The mustang is a standard that is why he is leaving et on the table. The rearend is stock want to leave the gear ratio alone because it is still driven on the street some. 3.23 = 2900rpm @70 with 245 50 16s. thanks for your replies just need to finish getting it together. The motor was built for the bottle so when the rear end is upgraded ill hit it with 250 shot that ought to take care of the mustang.

Needs more gear, victor or team g manifold, and most likely more converter but you will save alot of broken parts ruining it this way. But you have alot left in this build keep I'd posted
