Hey guys just wondering how much power can be had with stock 083 heads
And what cam would give me best usable street torque?

Those were the stock F-body 350 TPI heads. 1.94/1.50 valves, 64cc chambers, NON-swirl port. They're decent heads for their day, but really nothing special any more. A set of Vortecs would probably blow them into the weeds. I bet you'd be hard pressed to make much more than 350-360HP with them in stock form (just upgrading springs to match a performance-oriented cam).

 

350 360 is not bad! What cam would give me th better torque numbers with these heads.

 

With TPI, 275 HP or so.

With some other intake that doesn't restrict RPM range, roughly the same as the old double-hump heads like 186 or 041 from back in the day; mid 300 range, 350ish more or less, in stock trim.

If you have TPI, everything else is just peeing up a rope. With that, you got what you got, just enjoy it and call it done.

If you have some other intake, tell us what it is and what else you have and what you're willing to do with the heads, and we can talk about what their possibilities are and how to get there.

The bottom end will be 350 or 400( depending on what I can find)
At 9.5 compression.
