Not Running Right
OK, I've searched this forum looking for answers to my problem with no luck. Sorry if this problem has previously been solved; I cant find the thread
I just swapped an '85 carbed 305 into my Camaro. When the engine was in it's original car it idled fine & drove great but now I'm having problems with it in my car. It still idles fine and drives well while cold but when its warm and you give it gas it kinda bogs out almost to the point of dieing, when you let off on the gas it picks up again. The only way to drive it is to rev the engine & pop the clutch (not good I know). It has new plugs, cap, rotor & wires & the timing is set to 6deg BTDC (factory spec), all vacuum hoses are in place (it has the charcoal canister & EGR/Emmission equip) The Carb & Distributor are non CC (the berlinetta did not have a Computer or the harnesses, Im told this IS factory)
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Don

Ok I checked. Yes the choke appears to be all the way open (the plate is at a 90deg angle) and it does have 12v running to it, I wired it directly into te fuse panel using one of the old fuel injector fuses
