Advice on Carb Switch??

I need advice on which carb to buy for my 87 305?

I want an old 4 bbl with no sensors on it what so ever(Open Loop). My current carb is a piece of crap(Rochester?), and i m not spending money on it to rebuild. I lookin for something that will allow me to add to my motor later on as well.

Doesnt have to be a Holley or Demon, just lookin for the most bang for the buck(can be stock GM)! 650cfm to 750cfm, Rebuilt or new?

If anyone could help that would be great thx!

Part #'s would help as well ;-)

Holley 4160 600cfm carb should work fine and lists at about $205 in Summit.

Yes, edit that sig NOW!

Consider the Road Demon. May not be best bang/buck only because the bucks are higher, but will be best running/hassle.

right now, do you still have the stock cc-qjet on your car? if so, you may want to stay with that. its a hassle to remove the whole ECM, swap carbs, install a new distributor and rig up a switch for the converter. i personally would rebuild. but if you really have your heart set on a new carb, then i would go with jester and a holley 4160.
