Fuel nut kit 1991 Camaro TBI 305
Fuel nut kit 1991 Camaro TBI 305
I just rebuilt the TBI with new injectors and everything runs great now. Unfortunately the inlet fuel nut is leaking. The rebuild kit did not have the gaskets for the two fuel nut ports and I tried using the old only to have it drip. I am having problems finding the kits for this. Just two small nylon gasket seals. Previous part number for Delco was 17111462. Anyone know where I might find these as so far not able to locate including manufacturer. The other alternative is that an o ring seems to fit but not sure if I should use that as a replacement....thoughts on the o-ring course of action?
Thank you in advance for the help... cheers.

Re: Fuel nut kit 1991 Camaro TBI 305
Ok, so I'll say that in the past I have used a regular rubber o-ring from one of those universal kits for my TBI.
However
I didn't expect it to last too long, and I replaced it with a nitrile o-ring as soon as I could. The rubber O-rings will degrade in the presence of petroleum. I'd only use one if I were in a pinch and needed to get it on the road, but I'd definitely stop at the store and grab a fire extinguisher along the way.

Hi there,
Yes that is what I ended up doing and so far no leaks. Good point about the nitrile o-ring, I have no idea what mine is made of but did get it from a auto parts supply store. I will be sure to either confirm nitrile or replace it with one. Thank you for your help.
Regards.
