go to www.gmpartsdirect.com

and copy-paste the gm part number 17111343
into the search by part number section

seeing as how much the gm list and gm wholesale is going for, i will now attemp to sell my carb for 500$.... hey it's half price and newly rebuilt...it's a steal!

hehe

Yeah, I've seen that. I had a GM parts counter guy look it up once and his face got REAL white... then he said "It should be made out of solid gold for that price!"

It's ~$300 from Pep Boys for a rebuilt one...

hmm i think i'm gonna go buy all the qjets in junkyards i can get my hand on and start a rebuild service...buy em for 15 bux and sell em at chain stores for 300!

sure it takes prolly half a day to rebuild one, but spending 70 bux and getting 600 back in one day is one hella return profit...

hmm that turns out to be $66.25/hr.... sure beats the measily 10/hr when interning over the summer....

CCCqjets are quite easy to rebuild.. if your fairly proficient.. about an hour and a quarter..
another 15 minutes to get the mixtures, and air bleeds right ion the car, and your set.

well it takes alot longer from the junkyard - most require at least one can of carb spray and a little soaking and a bit of metal brush scrubbing to look new - first one i did took 5 hours - second one took 3 hours - last one took all day - i thought it had been spray painted black - heh was just carbon buildup - that and the fuel bowl looked like it had some maple syrup and white buildup chunks in it - it now looks completely new and resies on my camaro, as it has the best throttle response so far...
