Carburetor storage

What's the best way to store a good used carb? I got a good one off a running LG4 car, but I don't need to use it yet.

Can I store it for a long period and still have it be ready to use, or is it a foregone conclusion that it will have to be rebuilt after sitting for some period of time?

Thanks for the info.

You should be able to store the carb in a box to prevent debree from entering it. The gaskets probably wont dry rott for many years and the acclerator pump should hold up also. It's 50/50 it can dry out or wont, just keep it in a box hope for the best.
