Update on my no blow power valve (that did blow)

I had time to tool arond with the car. A week later! I first check the float level, the front bowl was fine so I took the rear sight plug off and it was squirting out of that sucker like a cow taking a wizz. I tryed adjusting the float with no luck so I Replaced the needle and seat with one from a junker carb. This worked but it was still rich and wouldent clean out after 10 min of run time. I pulled it apart and the power valve was blown. Thats 2 problems in the carb. I replaced the PV and put it all back togather and fired it up. The holley blue gaskets are reuseable arent they??? Well it runs better but now I hear a noisy rocker arm I pull the valve cover and try to adjust the rocker arm with no luck! click click. Turns out I have two dead lifters Inatke 6 exh 2.
Ahh the joys and these are only 3 months old.

So all of you who gave input were correct!!! I have multiple problems, and I was gonna hook up some electric fans this weekend.

Oh well thanks for your help guys!

My rockers do make an awfull lot of noise tick tick tick click tick... I was wondering...

The only way to tell is to adjust the lifters, If you get one that does not quite down afer adjustment (tick tick tick)than its not pumping up (dead).

I called summit and asked if there was a warenty on this comp cam. Yep . I called comp and I can even get the whole thingcam kit replaced at a local comp dealer if I wanted to as long as I have the ticket. How sweet is that??

hmmmm. I wonder if dead lifter(s) may be my problem now. I've done the adjustment every way known to man, and they still get loud. New comp cams kit just like you.

Well mine are very noisy, so are my rocker arms... i guess it also depends on the cam / oil pressure / cam ramps / rockers / lifter type hehehe im replacing everything anyways with lunati stuff and that should wake her up. especially going from 224 @ .050 to 254 @ .050
