Okay, I have a holley high rise manifold i just bought that has a rise of around 1.5" over stock. It will bolt up to a spreadbore carb, and it has EGR and electric choke provisions. My question is what to expect with the CCC on top of it. Will it run bad? Or can it be tuned to run right. The money is not there for a new carb, and I need to run the CCC. ANy tips on getting it to run well with the different intake manifold? Motor will be the 350 in question. As for clearence with that manifold, it doesnt matter because I have functional cowl induction I just did and I have around 4" more clearence than stock.

Bolt it up and go. An intake upgrade won't usually cause any problems for a cc-QJet assumign it was running OK with the old intake. Make sure you have all your various sensors and vacuum switches from the old intake swapped over and triple check your vacuum hose routing (replacing any lines that look cracked, crumbly or "weak" from oil soaking).
