In a post of mine a while back, it was suggested I get a book on carbs. I like the idea, and was wondering if anybody had a favorite. There are too many questions that I want answered before I start this project. I know most of parts I need, and that isn't the biggest problem, but the process of installing them is. I'm mechanically inclined, so I'm not afraid to do any of it, but just don't know what it is I'm supposed to do. The changes in vaccum setup, how to cleanly and tightly install a drop hose in the gas tank for the mechanical pump without leaving a bad seal, how to set up the linkage so I'm not stuck going 150 mph with the pedal STUCK to the floor. I dont mind voluntary 155, but to not have a say so in the matter is a little too Christine. I've never pulled a distributor, so timing and installation would be new. Again, none of it seems difficult, just foreign. Thanks for any help, or just suggestions on a book.

 

What kind of carburetor do you have?
