heading says it all,we all know its possible, why hasn't anyone made one?
I know, thats what a blower is for,but I don't wan't anything sticking out of my hood, what I heard was it's a real super charger, fits under stock hood. I'm sure a new chip would be needed along with more fuel and better spark control.

I don't think any of the roots style would fit under a stock hood.
I looked into it and was a bout 1.5" too tall even with my Ram Air hood which sits up 3-4".

If it's not a roots then it's a centrifugal which would require you to tear into the car or get a new one. Things that work on vaccum tend not to work in a positive pressure enviroment
Most spring loaded parts (i.e. VS, holley PVs) need to be reversed. As where -30 PSI used to overcome the spring, the spring must oppose the +30 PSI of the S/C and when you floor it and lose pressure/gain vaccum the spring has to engage the secondaires, were before it had to prevent them from opening.
I hope they do it. Sound rather intriguing. I know a few places already make these carb kits but I can't recall which ones.

I think it is ATI that makes a procharger centrifical S/C for carb apps. I've seen it listed, price was like $1700 I believe. I was wondering about the opposite air pressure the carb would be dealing w/, I assume their kit addresses this well enough though or they wouldn't offer it.
A couple companies make small roots blowers that are supposed to fit most cars, they list the Corvette as not fitting, but don't mention the F-body. I think that was a Weiand or however you spell that I was looking at. Holley also has a small blower, I'll go email them if I can get a direct answer on fitting under our heads.
Wasn't some guy on here named Trevor running a roots blower under his stock formula hood or something? Dangit, I forget now.
I was thinking about this alot recently, I think my next engine will be a roots blown 383 or 406 if I can fit it all under the stock hood...

Here's ATI's page on their blowers for carb apps: http://www.procharger.com/chevy.html
No technical info about it really, and their power comparisons are using intercoolers w/ the procharger, and who knows how much boost, stock boost on the roots. Not sure I like that comparison much...
