what are the advantages?
for about $150 you can pick up the parts at a swap-meet to duplicate my induction system. Try that with EFI.

Carb is easier to tune, no chips. A carb will make more power unless you toss the TPI and go with an aftermarket system like a Miniram or a Superram. Larger selection of intake manifolds and carbs for easier dialing in to your specific needs and engine combo.
TPI has better fuel atomization, more precise fuel metering, better gas mileage, better driveability (usually) and will probaby make more low end torque.

It all depends on what you like to venture and say there is alot of advantages to TPI or any other electronic fuel injection (other than headaches) I wouldnt say that there is any really I have been on both sides of this fence if you are tuned right gas mileage is not more than a couple MPG difference so If you are a true hot rodder or some one who doesnt want a lap top to ride shotgun instead of a long leg woman then that is what you do it all comes down to how big your wallet carbs are alot easier to work on. It is all a matter of opinion and every one has there own this is mine I like a carb and am kinda partial to them I have gave TPI a whirl but not impressed.
