shipping out of state??
I'm parting out my car and will most likely be selling to people that are nowhere near me. so,what's the best way to ship something and not have to worry about collecting money?? the last thing I want to do is to do bad business with anyone,I don't want anyone trying to play games with me either. I was thinking of doing it on a cashiers check/money order basis only and ship when I have recieved a legitimate form of payment. I would also like to know if anyone has any experience shipping larger heavier items through truck frieght,on a pallet or crate?? I've got my tranny and rear end...things that should be picked up locally and paid with cash, but if someone in alaska (I'm in VA) wants the rear end and has the $$ I believe that they are as equally entitled to it as someone local. how can I keep things going smooth? does anyone here have some experience with this that you can share?

new info!
i found out today that frieghtquotes.com will get the cheapest rates,it costs to do residential pickups & deliveries though! UPS does COD for an extra fee, that's about the only way I'd want to sell long distance.
