Beware "AC", Adam Cole

I hate to do this, but I was lied to, and trust is important to me.
I bought a set of stock silver '99 Corvette wheels and tires from him, and here is his quote to me about the wheels.

"I've also noticed there isn't a single damn major/minor blem on any wheel/tire."

Well in short, there is, and they're obvious.
To make matters somewhat complicated, I had the two 18's shipped to a friend in Nevada so I could trade him his 17's because I want 17's all around, so I only recieved and personally inspected the two 17's Adam sent me. I had told my friend in NV just what Adam told me, that the wheels were blemish free, because I trusted that Adam was telling the truth. My friend was not happy to find that the 18's weren't as described either, and that makes me look like a fool.
They aren't really bad, but blemishes are definately there, impossible to miss. I took pics, but apparantly I can't upload pictured to this forum, so I will describe the two I recieved as best I can.

One wheel has a small nick in the middle of a spoke about the size of a grain of r i c e, and it's all the way through the paint, making it appear black. Along the outer rim there are a few places with very slight curb rash, and one place with a little heavier curb rash.
The other wheel is worse, with a deep scratch going almost all the way across a spoke, about 3mm wide. This is also through the paint, making it painfully obvious. There is another scratch higher up on the same spoke that is deep, but not wide. It looks like a knife-cut, this one is harder to notice. The wheel also has the same slight curb rash marks as the other.
I didn't get the details on the other two wheels, except my friend said that there were obvious defects that might hurt resale value (he is selling the set).

Now you might think that this happened during shipping, but the wheels were packaged decently with cardboard circles taped and shrink-wrapped around the face and back of the wheels, and they weren't damaged in any way as to indicate shipping faults. The damage was obviously done before shipping.

Now here's the good. Everything else went fine with the transaction except that FedEx LOST a flippin wheel, but that's a whole different story. Adam did act responsibly and get his lawyer to threated FedEx to find my wheel, and I did eventually recieve it after a month or so (no more FedEx for me!). The tires were as described, and so were the 2" bolt-on adapters, but none of that hides the fact that I was lied to about the main product. I inquired to Adam 3 or 4 different times in e-mail about the damage, and he has completely ignored my inquiries about it, even through the 'lost wheel' BS and e-mails.

I should have demanded closer pictures than just the one side of his car from a distance, I suppose I will demand pictures from now on. So if you are thinking about buying anything from Adam Cole (AC), at least make sure the product you will be recieving is as described, or move on to another seller.
Thank you for your time.

Steven
