I got scammed. Please dont fall for this. The persons name was Alfred Moore or so he says. Paid a cahiers check for my car. I deposited it in the bank, the next day my bank said the check cleared, so I took the money out and sent it to the shipping company which I later found out that was bogus. A week later my bank calls me and they the scammers put a stop payment on the check and I am now 6500 overdrawn. They were from africa and used western union ,dont sell to anyone you dont know or have not met or dont know where they live for sure.

You need to get in touch with someone at this website : www.419legal.org . It is a law enforcement group that specifically targets internet scammers in Africa and is tied in with African law enforcement. They might not get your money back but they might keep these dirtbags from ripping somebody else off. Good luck to you

 

I think the same thing is happening to me. Some lady e-mail me and said her name was Gladys Spice. She saw my car online and asked me the last price i got offered and the condition. I told her a little about it and gave her a price and she just said ok thats fine with me ill send you a cashiers check and she said that her shipping company will take care of that or w/e. Then she asked for my full name adressand phone numbers and i gave her my cell phone number and asked for hers and i havent really jumped into it yet and ever since i asked for her phone number and said i woud call her once she gave it to me, she hasn't replied to any of my e-mail or called my cell phone. So im kind of disregarding her now. Why are some people such *******s

 

He tried the samething with me, but he was from Texas this time, his shipping company was called Dave's shipping. He sent a check for 9k, he told me to email the shipper to set up the pick up date for the car, I couldn't get a phone # from either person, I told him to call me. he had the ***** to do so. He spoke really bad English, he sounded middle eastern, I think he was faking it. I don't think anyone can talk that bad and write English as good as he did. When he call me, he repeated every word I said and told me to check my email. Well, anyway the check was from Florida, The postage was from Canada and he was from Texas. Alfred moore and Alfred smith he used both names with me.
