Dakota, DJCobol and I were discussing this 2 days ago. We are looking to try and do a custom fab perimeter style SFC on his vert and ALSO use the MAC SFCs. Would it be overkill? No way. I firmly believe there is still "some" flex in the chassis even with a set of SFCs. To rid the possibility of that, we're both looking at 2 sets. Gotta be able to launch straight and stop the rip in my roof from happening at the same time!

Sorry guys. I went a different route and got some for the same price and received them in 3 days. The reason I told him a would hold off was I had the money in my PayPal account and he didnt take PayPal I wasnt able to get it transfered to my credit card and my CC is about max'd out so I didnt have the funds there.
I did have a set of Hotckis SFC and they wouldnt fit with my Tri-y header Y pipe...so I sold them and had to get some ASAP. I test fitted these and they fit without a problem.

Here's a pciture of the MAC's they are way lighter than the Hotchkis. I guess cause they are not as long and they are round instead of square.

Very cool. I hear you about chassis flex. I've got a vert, which flexes like mad, and a hardtop, which is not that far behind it, oddly enough. When I redo the hardtop I will definately be in the market for both the perimeter and inner SFC's, because I'm definately looking not only to improve the car's handling, but its rigidity and ride quality as well. Unfortunately I don't plan to start the restoration until at least early fall, so I don't plan to get in on this group purchase, but I would be happy to post up a new GP when I am gathering all the new parts I am purchasing.

I don't know if the GP is still in effect or not. But the thread was very old without any activity. I've un-stuck it, but not closed it. If Ovrclck350 wants to initiate a new GP or re-post it as a sticky he can.
