Worth of a 90 Iroc convertible
Worth of a 90 Iroc convertible
I am about to reaquire my 90 Iroc vert that i had "sold" to someone (long story). Anyway, I still wanting to sell it. The paint is faded, drivers seat is a little worn, and I plan on fixing the the rear drivers side quarter panel which is damaged. Car is stock with 305 TPI auto and I forget the rear ratio, and around 125, 000 miles.
Since it will really only need a paint job and everything else that that implies, decals/stripes/etc., what would be a good asking price? Would $5000 be asking too much? Anyone interested?
I have an 87 Iroc vert that i am working on and don't need two.

Well, first. Check KBB and edmunds
However remember they will not give that accurate information for the convertible. Here's the key problems found when buying most convertibles:
What condition is the top in?
What condition is the plastic for the convertible top in?
Do the solenoids work?
Does the locking mechanism work on the tonneau cover?
Does the power trunk work?
Key issues with every car:
What power options does it have?
Do you have receipts of the work that has been done?
Records of regular maintenance?
How bad is the paint?
Any dents?
Lots of ideas. You could start to ask $5,000, but the condition probably warrants more $3,500. If it is truly jsut a LITTLE paint, and a SMALL tear in the drivers seat. Than $5,000 would be right, but answer the above questions and that will give you a bit better idea.

top is new
Power locks, window, mirrors
cruise
airbag

Paint isn't that bad. Just on the top areas like hood and truck.
I'd almost rather spend the time and sand the bad areas down and have the whole car repainted
If anyone who see this tread wants or knows of anyone that might want a 90 vert let me know

I don't think you are going to get a good response if you are jsut using this board to try to sell the car instead of putting it into the classifieds. However, like I said do kbb or edmunds. Place ads in the classifieds here and the other thirdgen sites.
