I see that Hawks has the cable release handle for the tonneau, but that cant be the entire system. I need the entire thing from the handle to the pin/spring/whatever for my '89, but not ever seeing it in working condition, I'm not quite sure of what all I need and where to get it. Any suggestions for me?

 

Did you try the dealer? I got one about a year ago.

The only repro parts that seem to be available for the release mechanism is the cable mechanism you mentioned, all the other parts have been discontinued. Ive been looking for these parts for almost 2 years now and still can't seem to get my hand on some so good luck on your search.
