Polishing back window? Any tips?

The back window on my 'vert is pretty cloudy and starting to yellow. I picked up a bottle of Meguiar's Plastx last night, says it's a "clear plastic cleaner and polish". Even has a pic on the bottle of a convertible back window with the phrase "removes haze and cloudiness". Anything I should know before I go try this stuff out?

I have tried the Meguiar's Plastx a few times on my back window. It is OK although I think it is a little on the abrasive side. If your window is yellowing it might help. I am not real sure a cleaner can get yellow out though. The last time I used this cleaner I used it with a very wet cloth and on a wet window. It seemed to work better this way.

I have also tried Renovo and Bluemagic Plastic & Plexiglass cleaner. I was not overly thrilled with either one.

The best cleaner I have used is One Grand Plastic Polish and Conditioner. I only tried the other products when I ran out of this stuff about a year ago. It is kind of hard to find. I orginally bought a bottle from a guy that dealt with BMWs. I recently did find a place online to order it from and have since placed an order for more. Thanks for the link to the thread with info on the spoiler trim extensions. It was very helpful. Your convertable looks great by the way.

Hey, thanks for the tips! The Meguiar's did an ok job, but it seems like it could be better. I will have to try that stuff you use out!

Here's a link to some BMW plastic polish on ebay that I have used. It's the best I've ever tried. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-C...QQcmdZViewItem
