1992 Jamaican Yellow T/A Vert
I have finally tracked down a 1992 Jamaican Yellow T/A Vert. It has 102K miles with Black inter. The price they are asking seems kinda high. I havent seen the pics yet but I will be sure to post them as soon as I get them! I was just wondering what a fair price for this car would be. If you need anymore info on it please ask!

I would think 6 -7 would be a great price depending on condition what are they asking for it? It depends on condition

How is condition? If I were to sell my 91 vert I would ask at least that much if not more but we have redone everything and it has a new paint job on it.

Good luck. I have a Jamaican Yellow Vert. I bought it back in Oct for $5,500. The paint was a 6-7, Int 5, top 9, Mechanicals 6. It had 113,000 miles on it.
Since then I have put in a new 305, all new interior (Seats, Radio, all new switches, seat skins, steering wheel, shift handle etc) Suspension has been totally reworked with new ball joints, bushings, shocks, etc. New paint goes on in the spring.
In all I have about $10-11K tied up in it.
So is it worth it?? To me yes. As most know in this forum TA verts are rare to begin with. A Jamaican Yellow vert is hyper rare with only 35 being built (source of build data is GM).
Unless you have a big down payment or paying cash, banks are hard pressed to loan $10K on a 3rd Gen vert. So in cthis case I bought low and I am making the car like new. Although it is better to buy a car in great shape that you dont have to put money into.
I dont have any illusions that this car will be on Barrett Jacksons auction block someday getting big bucks. Thats usually reserved for low mileage cars, but if you want something that in all likley hood is the only one within a couple of states then this is the car for you.
Since only few were built, you will be hard pressed to see many more coming up for sale in the future....people who are buying now will likly keep them for some time.
Here is a link to my photo page so you can see my Jamaican Yellow Vert.

You could just try to find a Jade Green vert like mine.. Pretty rare color too, one of the 3-4 special colors in 92. Not sure on convertible numbers, but there were only ~18 GTA's in the jade green..
I was orignally looking for a Jamaican, but I had to settle I guess..

Here's about the only decent one I have. This is right after I put the ground control springs on. I wound up getting a 93 parts car for the T56 and interior a couple of weeks after I got the 92, so it's just been sitting in the garage while I part the other out..

Are you bending over? Cause someone's trying something..
Unless there's another jamaican yellow vert out there with a cracked rear bumper, a damaged nose, and those ugle *** rims; that car has 'sold' on Ebay twice in the last few months..
I saw it the first time when I was searching about 3 months ago. Went for right around $4k. It was in worse condition and only had one very bad pic.
Second time was about three weeks ago (it's no longer on Ebay's completed search). The seller had said he bought it recently on Ebay and had started to fix it up, but was going with a different project. I can't remember what all he fixed, but I think he sold it with another rear bumper to fix the broke one. The car went for ~5-6k that time.
Either the buyer didn't come through and he's still trying to sell it, or the buyer bought it hoping to capitalize on the rare color and turn a quick profit.
With three owners in three months, there might be a lot more wrong with the car than known. This last one might not care about future owners and is getting greedy.
In any case, I would say it's worth $4k max, but in my opinion and my best Monty Python voice, " Run away!!, Run Away!!!"

Run Away....
Car is in NC, but has PA plates and inspection......plus, what others have added above, not even worth the 6-7k mentioned earlier.

Thats $4K car tops
I bought mine at $5,500, it had the black crosslace wheels, no exterior damage and int was in much better shape.
You gotta be careful. The guy I bought mine from was trying sell it as a GTA. He didnt like it when I told him there was no such thing as a 92 Jamican Yellow GTA vert. Naturally the first thing I did was pull the GTA badges off.
The misssing black crosslace wheels are worth at least $500 and thats only when you can find them on Ebay.
Given the amount of TLC required its no where near worth the price. At 4K or below it would be a great project car to redo.
I'd pass at this price.
