The plastic trim around all the interior pieces is getting on my nerves. The top pieces where the seatbelts come through break easily, the trim pieces around the sail panels etc crack easily and the replacements seem to be outrageously priced..... I am thinking of replicating them in a hard wood. Anyone else heard of this being done? I can't help but think that it would look really cool in a dark mahagony or some such luxury stain. I don't believe they would be that difficult to make, and I'm willing to give it a shot, but thought I'd ask around first.

May be a bit heavier, but not too much. I may even do the thresholds with a billet aluminum overlay on them. We'll see. I'll make pics once I get it done. Thanks for responding.
