I think in another auction he had a cloth one also. not positive though. either way even for vinyl as long as quality top that is not a bad price. I bought my cloth replacement 3 yrs ago when I first bought my 87 vert and was going to restore then ran out of cash but I paid around $296 plus shipping for mine now I look and see them ranging from $400-$600 bucks so you really have to look around.

My 'vert still has the original black cloth top. I had a new rear window sewn in years ago which is still in good shape. The top "poofs up" at freeway speeds and is starting to curl at the #5 bow. I picked up an original ASC cloth top last year, but it is tan. I'm still undecided if I will change the top to tan or keep it black. Either way I'll likely change it this summer.

if it were me I would keep it black but like I said that is just my opinion. plus with tan they get dirty fast and everything shows up on them. I am hoping to get my vert back on the road by next week. I should have 400 sbc swap done. and having top changed this week and interior all redone this week also.

Lonsal, if you stay with the black top would you sell the tan?? I'd like to pick one up for my IROC. I have to order a top soon but all I've found are black.
