front fender
has anyone tried to replace their stock front fender? I bought one and has to cut the bottom of the fender off and reweld a bracket to it for it to fit. PITA if you ask me, they should be making an aftermarket fender ready to bolt on. just wondering if im the only one whos had this problem.
thanks.

I had to do the same thing when I first bought my 'vert . It was pretty much flawless except for a rather large dent in the LF fender. The body shop guy did a great job and you can't tell it was ever replaced . You should just chalk it up to the price of having an uncommon F-body.

Aftermarket won't make a convertible only fender. This leaves you with two choices, pay a lot more money for a good used fender from another convertible or weld the bracket onto the new coupe fender. PITA or not, it is still the best choice IMO. Any time you can get away with modifying a coupe part to work on your convertible your beter off. Convertible parts will be priced as if gold plated IF you can even find them.
