Mods I'm doing this winter

I am putting in a ZZ-4 cam , porting my heads , throwing on long tubes and true duals . These are being done now . In a month or so I am converting to EFI . Putting a 1,000 CFM throttle body on a Vic - E intake . And also putting the Alston SFC's on . These all should make for some good mods for this year . Can't wait to see how she does at the track .

Ah heck I got the 305 down to a short block and decided to go ahead and throw the 400 in . So today I pulled the 305 out . That's a done deal . Getting some roller rockers tomorrow to put on the Motown 220 heads that I had already bought . Got a different bump - stick for it which we'll be installing in a week or so .
Cam is a crower for EFI/NITROUS/FORCED INDUCTION
242/250* @ .050 290/298* duration seat to seat
114* LSA
.540/.570" lift (w/ 1.6 rockers)
And found a weight / balancer plate to go on the 305 flywheel to balance the flywheel . We will be using the TBI system to get it going and then later converting to MPFI and a VIC E intake with a 1,000 CFM throttle body .
Should pull some good quarter mile times if the T-5 holds up .

It's a 400 small block chevy . It WILL NOT be slow . Unless something breaks . Expecting 420 -440 horses before nitrous .

Yes my car was on Horsepower TV . It ran pretty good the way they had it set up too . I had a best of 13.2 @ 104 in the quarter on the 135 shot . I am trying to get something loaded on this computer to help me re- size pictures . Maybe this weekend I'll have some up .

I finally got started on my mods last night.
  • Different top/frame
  • Different tonneau with all working top release parts present
  • Spohn tubular front A-arms
  • Spohn tubular adjustable LCAs
  • Spohn tubular PHR
  • Tokico shocks/struts
  • Tokico 1.25" lowering springs
  • New take-off 4th gen leather seat covers
  • 17" Boyd Coddington Magneato wheels
  • Rebuilt steering setup (tie rods, rag joint, centerlink, idler arm)
  • Heddman shorty headers, 3" exhaust w/ cutout
  • AC delete
  • Removal of smog pump and AIR crap

Yeah, that should do it.

Nice list!

What are the details on the seat covers? I'm curious about those.

A local dealership was in the business of taking new Camaro SS's, having them modified, and then selling them for a huge profit. On some of them, this included the seats. The factory leather was pulled off the seat frame so the new cutomized leather/suede/whatever was gonna be on the car could be applied. As such, there are at least a few full sets of OEM seat leather sitting around in boxes at said dealership. I just happen to have an inside source for a set that will be able to hook me up with a set to go on my 2000 Camaro SS seats. My seats aren't bad, per say, but if I can make them look brand new, and add a ventilation system at the same time, why not?
