Trunk lid alignment
Well, it looks like pushing my car on and off the trailer caused my trunk lid to go out of whack. Now the trunk lid rubs on the tonneau cover whenever I try to open the trunk or the cover. Anyone ever had to straighten out the trunk lid? Any advice on how to do this without having to take it to the body shop?

Pretty much loosen the four bolts holding the hinges to the trunk lid and adjust as needed. Sounds like you just need to pull it back out.
Best way is to loosen it enough to move with force, but not enough that it just flops around.

How old are your trunk-lid support struts? If they are weak, it can throw off the alignment of the lid. So make sure those are in good shape before you do any adjusting. I spent several hours adjusting mine last year, and sometime later replaced my struts and it changed the alignment. So I had to re-adjust it all over again. The funky hinges on these things have a little bit of play in them, so the strength or weakness of the struts can affect the fit. Have fun!
