A unique find!!!
When I bought my '87 Z28 convertible in 1994, it was from the original owner and I was lucky enough to get all the original documentation. Upon reading the convertible supplement, I found this (see pic)!! Apparently, GM ships one of these with the car to ASC. It is ASC's responsibility to stick this paper VIN tag on their convertible decklid. Looks like someone was snoozing when my car went through their assembly line!
I'm curious if anyone else here has a convertible that does not have the paper VIN tag on their rear decklid AND if anyone has the paper tag for their car! I think I'm very lucky to have this as part of my original documentation....

cool! I have a couple of rareities that ive picked up from my cars. Namely, an original Camaro dealer brouchure from 1985 and the original cassete tape that pontiac put in every firebird center console still wrapped in the plastic.
not nearly impressive as your find though!

My car has the VIN tag attached to the underside of the trunk lid. It's just to the right side of the latch.

There is not one currently on my 89 Formula 350 Vert, however I found a little piece of paper very similar to it under the carpet by the spare tire when I was trying to put the tire IN the car. Unforunately it was blank...
I think the GENEME stands for: Genuine GM Equipment.
Could someone please post a pic on the deck lid...
