91 Trans Am Vert whats it value?
Hi Gang,
I have come across a 91 T/A vert. It is very similar to the one in the magazine article from Road & Track posted in the media section. 60k + miles, leather interior, Interior looks to be in good shape.automatic, origional top. The body received a new spray about 5-6 years ago. From what i can determine never been in a accident & it has no rust. Origional owner who is selling the car. Hasn't been driven much over the last 3 years so all the fluids need to be changed. Origional top which looks to need replacing within a couple of years. I know from reading the posts that the selling price is whatever someone will pay but i was wondering what a fair price is? Im new to looking at verts so i could use your thoughts.
Thanks.

Something like that is going to be worth quite a few pretty pennies, especially with the leather interior and the mileage (pending that the interior is factory specs and the mileage is original)
To give you a rough estimate, which I can't be completely accurate because there were less T/A convertibles than Z28 convertibles made in '91. But anyway, my car with 32,xxx miles, original paint/top/leather interior, bone stock, 1 owner car, cost me $12,000 at a Chevy dealership.
This T/A has slightly more miles, but I bought mine back in '01 and the prices for 3rd gens have slightly changed since then. And yes, there were only 600 or so T/A verts made where as there were 3,205 Z28 convertibles made that year.
Sorry I can't be completely accurate, I'm better with IROC-Z/Z28 prices anyways.

Thank you BlueZee for you thoughts. He is asking 10k & i thought with her needing a new top, tires, maintenance and such that it is a little high.

I would offer him $8,500-9,000 for it. A new top can be had for $300-400 and tires shouldn't really effect the value of the CAR itself necessarily. Maintenence yes, depending on what all it needs.
