Hmmm... notice for the VIN he has a 6 for the Engine...

I too would be interested if I lived closer... a nice parts car it would make.

I wonder if by "needs engine" is the fact that it doesn't run at all and has to be replaced, or if it runs and is still drivable, just runs like crap.

So I may have just e-mailed the guy about it. I need another car, especially a project, like I need a hole in the head.

A Record means that the car was titled. For each action, A Title transfer, New title, sometimes a Collision, a total loss, Emissions Check, CARFAX should kick back a Record... Unfortunately they do not necessarily go all the way back to 1987... Sometimes they do, sometimes they do not... AutoCheck also gets similar information, they sometimes have more information. If you get both CARFAX & AutoCheck you can actually paint a pretty good picture... I know my 89 Vert the two reports are vastly different, there are some things that overlap, but if you overlay the two you can see where people entered bad information etc...
