1987 SC Convertible camaro, should i buy???

i recently found a really nice black on black 87 SC Convertible, as far as i know its pretty rare only around 263 made.? is this correct.? anyways i was thinking about buying it, the lady is only asking 3500 for the car so its defintily a steal.. is this car supposed to have a v6 in it or did they also come with v8's.? also it says 20th anniversary on the dash, but is there any other way of determining its a special editon SC vert.?...

Re: 1987 SC Convertible camaro, should i buy???

I thought they all came with V8's... To be honest I think its probably worth in the neighborhood of around $5000 to $8000 at the tops, if it has the V6 then less. The thing that is nice is the 42K miles.

263 sounds right... One source states that only 744 TOTAL convertibles, another states 744 Z28 or IROC convertibles... ASC states 955 were made but I am not sure if that included the Special Dealer ordered cars prior to production...

According to some industry information they state a total of 744 cars Total, no other breakout from this source...
