Interesting vert for sale
If you havent seen this one yet. I've never seen one that I can remember
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Limit...mZ220259080740
Looks like an ASC car. Obviously spent a bit of its life outside GM getting modified before it was sold.

I can appreciate the workmanship but not really my taste either. In the early 80's I probably would have liked it though.Just looks dated now.

There's a lot about the exterior I like. Some things appear somewhat unusual however, such as the fender panels, but I would love to see her up close and personal. One thing is for sure - she's as clean as a new bar of soap.

Interesting. Not my cup of tea, but, it has a few pros and cons. Kind'a like how concept cars give you an idea what a car will look like but not yet quite done right, if you know what I mean.
The fat fenders make it look like it's been through the MacDonald's drive through one too many times.

The auction states:
"Description:
Commissioned by General Motors, Knudsen Automotive, Inc. produced 136 Tojans (123 Hardtops and 13 Convertibles) between 1984 and 1991. These cars were sold through a Select and Elite group of Pontiac Dealers, in California, New Jersey, Texas and Florida "
This car was obviously not "commissioned by GM", but was a limited run conversion by an independent shop that marketed the car to Pontiac dealers. 136 cars is a lot. Does anyone know more about the Trojan, or the Knudsen company? Does anyone recognize the convertible conversion as one by another coach builder like Matrix, Straman, ASC or others? Usually a company like Knudsen would have a coach conversion company (like one of those mentioned) convert it into a convertible and Knudsen would add the funky body kit items onto a convertible or hardtop. (They are in the body kit business, not the frame reinforcing/engineering business).
This is just a guess, so if anyone out there knows the real story.....tell it!

I think they rock simply because you will NEVER see another one on the road at the same time. Plus at the core, it's an F.

Re: Interesting vert for sale
I have some dislikes about it, but more likes so.....
First Tojan 'vert I've ever seen though.
How'd they get the Camaro TPI Y-pipe air filter housing over the radiator? Hood doesn't look scooped/raised...
