First off, I just want to say nice ride and congrats on the sweet deal. Not a huge fan of custom paint jobs, I usually lean more towards stock combos, but it looks good. And for a great price.
Secondly, i would be hugely thankful for a mom that is ok if not supportive of an f-body addiction. That is very kool, and for that I would be a bit of a momma's boy myself. Unfortunatly I had no such luck, both of my parents fought me every inch and minute over mine. They are both the type of people who view cars as a way to get from here to there, anything more is a waste. That was a major reason why my 18th birthday was also the day I moved out. Even now over ten years later they still try to pick fights over it. Guess I am just trying to say count your blessing, and I don't blame you for being a bit of a mamma's boy. In your shoes I would be.

oh yeah, my two cents on some aftermarket wheels: some chrome 17" or 18" IROCs would really set if off! IMO.

Kids today have everything. When I was 16 .... I couldn't in wildest dreams imagine having a car like that. By the way , my top will be installed on Monday a week from today. I will post the pictures that night.

Then again when I was 16 the year was only 1980. The 3rd gen hadn't even been invented yet. LOL

Mom was completely against the Convertible but once again, if theres a will there's a way. I offered the roll bar idea and she was fine with that. Lol.

This is mostly true but I am exempt. Granted my parents are wealthy. BUT they said, "If you want to drive you better save cause we are not putting a dime in." I was fine with that. Started saving money since I was 13. 3 years later I have 4 grand saved up. Bought my first car (1955 Dodge C1) for 3 grand. Had a change of thought on restoring it then sold it for 3500. Then I found my beloved 1991 White RS. Paid 1500 for it. Then found this blue one for 2500 so now I am kinda sorta broke but not really cause I still have some money. I am selling my white one soon for 3000 so I am happy. :P
I want some pictures bad!!! I am still prepping mine. I want to make sure that it gets done right the first time with no leeks or peels lol.
