TopsOnline Tops

I need a new top for my 91. I've been through the sticky and it seems that the topsonline one is the one to go go for.

I want the Stayfast with a plastic window. Does anyone have one of these? and can you give an opinion?

Cheers

Bungle

Re: TopsOnline Tops

I'm going to give you an honest (albeit slightly biased) opinion. Unless you're dead set on keeping the car 100% original, fork out the extra couple bucks and get the glass window. You won't be dissapointed, I promise. Even with a brand new top with a plastic window, a many number of things other than age can ruin the plastic. Glass on the other hand, has an infinite lifetime unless something busts through it. Plus, you can't tint plastic by any conventional means.

I think you could have a shop take the window out of the top and replace it with a new one, but I don't know how much it would cost.

I will tell you this, as long as you follow the directions according to the manufacturer (Topsonline), you will not break the glass unless it is by some freak accident like an auto collision or someone falls off a ladder onto the car. There is a safe and easy way of putting the top up and down without breaking the glass. The rear seats have to be folded down when putting the top up and down. Other than that, it functions just like a factory top.

I'm sure by contacting TopsOnline, they will be able to address any concerns you have regarding shipping. There would also be likely some way of insuring it's condition including a return policy. At worst, you would only be dealing with time.

Re: TopsOnline Tops

hardly any.. 3rd gen verts were never officially sold here and thats just another reasonwhy i love having it. In a country where no matter what you have, someone always has faster, bigger or more expensive, having something rare (at least on these roads) is something to enjoy!

Get the glass window (if you are domestic). You will never regret it. I swear.

Re: TopsOnline Tops

gas is around $1.80 a gallon but thats 98 Octane. It's actually more expensive here than other Gulf countries as Dubai doesn't refine it's own oil. The big 3 do ok but thats mainly historical - most cars are Japanese or European
