One more thing. Mom confirmed to me yesterday also about the gold band around the top we have been rackin our brains about. The gold band around the top is not factory. She said the people that last did the top added that on to it.
All that was there originally were the snaps according to mom.

 

Good to know about the gold band. That was an odd addition. As for Bill, I am sure you can find a tactful way to mention the car and see if the lady there has any knowledge of a "Bill" or the Camaro. I am guessing he has passed because I could not find records for him, but he may have just moved elsewhere. I know you'll keep us posted.

I still think there must be a way to track the original dealership through GM Historical.

Gave "Copperhead" a bath today. No wax, just plain soap and water.
She still cleans up good considering her paint is 10 yrs old now.

I have no idea what it is worth considering what it is or what someone would be willing to pay for it. Got my eyes on some new projects and thought id toss this out there to help fund it. If I can get a good price or offer for it, I will sell it but im not going to give it away.

 

Did you even get additional information on this car? Did you learn the converter?
