spohn sub frame connectors

I am thinking of installing a set of spohn SFC on my 90 vert. If you have them installed in your vert, are you happy with them? This is not a race car and I plan on keeping it mostly stock. I am not planning on installing any inner connectors just the spohns. I just want to get the body squeeks and rattles out as well as the doors from moving up and down in the frame going over every bump. Do I need to remove the carpet to weld these in? Stupid question but It dosen't look like I need to...Thanks

Re: spohn sub frame connectors

Why would you want to connect a bunch of subframes?! Just get a whole frame! That's what a car needs!

Depends.. Bolt on or weld on? Weld on, the interior does not need to be touched. Bolt on, yes.

Weld on.

Bolt on.

Don't bother with bolt on SFC's.. It would be like paying for a hooker named Juanita, only to find out that Juanita is actually Juan. Just not the real deal.

Re: spohn sub frame connectors

I have spohns SFC's on my 'vert and it made a huge difference in the ride and handling.

I also added a set of Alstons, since they sit inboard from the spohns.

Car is very tight, and most of the rattles and cowl shake are gone. My car guy friends say the my 'vert rides like a hardtop car. I take that as a very good compliment!

I posted pics once of the installs on here.... just too lazy to look for them.

I did not have to pull the interior for any of the welding, so that was a plus

Buy them, you won't regret it
