Ok, first, it's a 1992 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. Original body.

I recently bought this car, but I am having one HELL of a time finding the switches I need to replace them. They are seriously screwed. Power Window switches, power mirror switch (the direction pad) The release lever for the top, even the switch to open the top is busted into tiny pieces.

I was able to still USE the top release switch until tonight. I have looked on Ebay, thirdgenranch, online, everywhere. Even every local junkyard in a 50 mile radius. NOTHING.

Can someone PLEASE tell me where to find the Convertible top release switch!? Im desperate, I live in Indiana, and without the A/C Working, and without being able to lower the top, the car is undriveable.. because it just became an oven!

I would like to ad, I FOUND the Power Window switches on Ebay, Im *not* paying 70 dollars for a pair of them.. thats ridiculous. lol I can wait on the power windows and power mirror switches.. but that top switch is absolutely essential

 

You can use a camaro hatch release switch if you need something right away. Finding the 'vert specific switch is extremely hard to find.

Only difference between them is the decal. One shows a hatch, other shows the tonneau

Hey, I found several switches at Top Down used, bought a couple! Also found some other parts Im going to need eventually! Thanks a ton for that, but I still need a decent switch for the top. (Really dont want to pay 50 dollars for a tiny piece of plastic.)

 

Post a ad in the "Interior parts wanted" section. A 3rdGen member should be able to help you. 3rdGen convertible parts are not common and many are not being reproduced yet. Sometimes you have to pay to play.
