something's not right here
I noticed a couple of things wrong with my 91 TA vert.
For starters, this cross beam (whatever it's called) is not touching the window frame (vocab?) unlike the driver's side.

You can actually see on the outside how the left is a little higher than the right:

How can I adjust it to be even?
And this side is even like it should be I'm guessing. However that little rod rubs against the bolt and creates an annoying squeak. Is it ok if I just bend that rod out of the way or is there a "right" way to fix this?

Thanks!

Re: something's not right here
Dont bend the rod I looked at mine ,the part that is not touching should be as you had mentioned .There must be a way of adjusting, perhaps your missing a screw that may have come out explaining why its up and your rod on the other side is rubbing
I checked mine and they are flexible I can move mine up by hand but it goes right back to its original position as soon as I release it(cross beam).
Mine has a headliner so its difficult to see( Im sure I could remove it but havent tried yet)

I had the same problem with mine,I don't really remember exactly what I did except that I bent that smaller rod until that angled piece sat on the main side frame...fits pretty good now...

where it squeeks, why not put a small piece of rubber to insulate it?

Re: something's not right here
if you compare the rod location on both sides to the bolt that its rubbing against it does look as thou the drivers side needs to be raised up or bent up
