Serious 92 TA Vert leak
Serious 92 TA Vert leak
I have a 92 TA vert and it has a serious leak. After a hard rain there is a puddle behind both rear seats. Problem is it is not coming from the top. I think it is coming from the toneau cover. Two questions: 1) Where do these things typically leak from, and 2) what trouble shooting methods have y'all used to find the leaks. Thx.

Re: Serious 92 TA Vert leak
Are you sure it isnt coming in through the top? My car leaks worse than anything I have ever seen in the rain. It comes straight through the material, and around the windows, and probably the tonneau, too. Sit in the car and have someone spray it with the water hose, that should find it.

Re: Serious 92 TA Vert leak
There is a seal that runs the perimeter of the tonneau cover. If the water fills or backs up the drain channel along the side of the car (the back it runs next to the decklid and down the taillight, the front has a hole and drain tube) then it will go into the car before it can go over the 1/4 panel. Clean the channel and drain hole, and make sure the seal actually seals... otherwise you'll have a wet floor.
