From 0 to 2 firebird convertibles in few weeks
My friend who has posted on here before wants another vert so one night he was talking about looking through craigslist for them but not finding even a decent regular bird much less a vert. So for the heck of it I did a search and found one on the other side of the state that had no pics and only had one word about it being a vert.
Had been on there for a couple months and was cheap so I figured no way is it still for sale or if it is, it's trash.
On a whim i called and it was for sale but the guy said his wife would have to send pics via a cell phone. I'm thinking no way will she do this. It was about noon and I was at work. Sometime around 3 I couldn't believe she actually sent me pics.
Realizing I had work tomorrow and it was a 500 mile round trip I offered her even less and got close enough that, that night I drove a trailer down there and got this one.

Got a whole 2 hours of sleep that night before work.
So then here it is a few weeks later and there is another TA vert only 1 state away. I'm thinking if I like one at that price I must love two.
So for that reason alone I drove and got this one.

I have no idea what I am going to do with them. Tried to sell them cheap in the classifieds on here but no one cared(even as much as people post how much these cars are worth all the time)
They both run and drive, so at this point I guess it won't hurt my feelings to just keep them and say I have a couple ASC firebird convertibles.
Went to the junkyard and they had a couple verts there so I grabbed some parts and started fixing some of the little things.
So that brings me here. HI

Nice verts ,hard to believe you couldnt sell them.
Where Im at vert parts are very difficult to come by .

That's actually an option so when you have to replace the fuel pump and drop the tank, the exhaust isn't in the way

I love junkyards. Don't even need the stuff but gutted an iroc vert today, second one this week. My basement is overflowing with vert specific parts.

crawled under the red ws6 tonight. Torque converter is painted blue/green and tranny pan is black, so I imagine rebuilt tranny.
Also block heater in the freeze plug and blue reusable seal on the oil pan. Starter also looks new.
I like getting newer stuff then I bargined for.
