ASC sticker

I’m trying to remake the ASC sticker that was on my door jam. It was in bad shape and removed a couple of years ago for a new paint job. I have the logo and information that’s supposed to be on the sticker but I don’t know the height and width of the sticker. It looks like the size has changed over the years, so I need to know what size they were in 1989. After I make the sticker I plan on putting a clear vinyl on it so it will last a lot longer.
Thanks
Marvin

Re: ASC sticker

You might want to dig around a bit... The market for thirdgen restoration parts is pretty small, but ASC did more then just thirdgen conversions.

My 89 GTA vert ASC sticker is 4-3/4 x 1-3/4 square corners mounted horizontally under the door striker.

Re: ASC sticker

OK thanks, I made one 3 1/2 by 1 1/2 that looks real good. I like the smaller size but I may make it a little bigger to keep it more like the orginal. To simulate the date stamp I used a bigger font and bold print.

Re: ASC sticker

My sticker is still there but it must of had an air bubble behind the left side cause it looks like someone put a paint splotch on it when in fact its got a hole in it. Maybe should look into replacement.
On a seperate note: if I use the ASC website can they also possibly confirm my top and rear window being original or replacement ?
My rear window has a pressed in logo that says KAL GLAS and underneath DOT #138 AS-6-M-176
D 2335 With a - Do not rub dry
wash with water soacked cloth.

Any thoughts on this being replacement or orignal ? Car has 84K and is north east seasonal use of lateer years.

Re: ASC sticker

Hey Marvin,

Would you post a photo of your reproduction, or could somebody else post a photo of a real ASC sticker. The sticker on my 89 is missing as well. I could then make one in photoshop.
Thanks

Re: ASC sticker

For BRG91 - After the "DO NOT RUB DRY - WASH WITH WATER SOAKED CLOTH" on the rear window, there should be a number like D-91. That tells you it is a 1991 window but does not insure it is the original.

Here's mine of my '89. It's probably not good enough to reproduce without heavy photoshopping. I did post it to help others know what we're talking about.

Re: ASC sticker

HI IROCTOPLESS,
The vin# on my 89 vert is close to yours 1G1FP31F7KL127168. My Service Parts Identification label (the one inside the glove box) is also missing. Would you have a photo of yours. I want to try to reproduce one.

Re: ASC sticker

The VIN doesn't tell you much more than the basics. Options can still be quite different. But you might be able to pick and choose what might work for you. Either of us could still have a number of RPO's that the other doesn't have. These are my best pics of it. Mine is also a Canadian car. If yours isn't, it will have a few different RPO's than yours (example Z49 for Canadian export, etc). I've also included a dealership RPO definition report explaining most them. Good luck.
