top frame counter spring

Im just wondering how common are the top frames with the counter spring located at the bottom of the main frame bracket. It makes the top go up real easy. The car I removed it from was a 91 6 cyl bird almost no option car had only 69000 on it. Going to put it in my z28

Re: top frame counter spring

Have you got pictures of this counter spring.Im not aware of any counter springs on the bottom of the main frame bracket. This could be another company other than asc that has converted the 91 firebird with a 6 cylinder as I dont believe this to be a factory convertible.
