Thinking of buying a 1988 Vert Iroc... Need quick help
Well, I have found a 1988 Convertible burgundy 5-speed Iroc for sale locally and went and looked at it yesterday. I slacked and did NOT get any pictures, BUT I think I have enough information to where yall could give me some advice on if it's worth it.
Specs
-1988
-305TPI
-5-speed(supposedly has an almost new clutch)
-drum rear and 115 speedo
-HO TPI(5500rpm redline)
-been sitting teh last two years
-160k
-repainted about 3 years ago(looks to be slightly more than Maaco quality
-clean carfax
-wont turn over at all(fuel pump won't even cut on)
-bypassed clutch safety switch, still nothing
-came with 15" iroc wheels, but now has 91-92 RS wheels(16") per the door sticker
-interior is shot(needs seats, carpet, sun visors, door panels)
-smoked in a LOT
-top has no rear window
-rear spoiler is falling off(I know that is common)
-no major dents
I KNOW I can fix it, get it running, etc and the reasons I want it are it's a 305TPI 5-speed vert!
He is firm on $2000......
Opinions?

Sounds like a ton 'o work. But the fact that it's an LB9/T5 convertible, makes it tough to walk away from.

I agree. You I think understand what I'm looking for. I want something rarer, different, and original now that I have a fully done up one. That's why I wanted that yellow LB9/T5.

Price a nice complete car equivalent to what this one would be once complete.
Then, price all the parts this one needs. Include something for labor even. Add 2k to that.
Is it still worth it? If so, enjoy.
