Needing some 88 vin's
Hey I have an autocheck month membership atm.
After reading this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...4385-iroc.html
I am wanting to see what Autocheck says about other 88 verts to see if they are making a generalized error on verts that have a V8 saying they are Iroc-Z's. If they are I am going to tell them there database is screwy, maybe they will fix it and help keep people honest.
PM your vin and e-mail. In return I will send you an autocheck on your car. Would prefer 88's but will be nice and run any that someone sends me.

Looking through my books, and information online. There isn't any way to tell model by VIN, I think they are going off the engine code. Problem is that the L03 was base engine in the base convertible and the Iroc-z Vert.

Re: Needing some 88 vin's
I have an Autocheck for my 89 RS L03 convertible, and attached a copy of the header for the report. The second line says "1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28 / RS". Other than wishful thinking, I don't know how you could mistake it. The owner of that car know what he/she has, and wants to sell it fraudulently to benefit themselves.
