I finally bit the bullet & purchased a new top from topsonline. I've been wanting to get a new top for the longest time, but life got in the way, and my Camaro was "hibernating" in the garage. The top that was on it was worn, dry-rotted, plastic window cracked and became seperated from the top, and literally falling apart. If I had to take a guess, that top was at least 15 years old, and I definitely got my moneys worth out of it! Now to the good stuff... I opted for the glass window top from topsonline. When it arrived, I couldn't wait to open it up & place it on the car, and all I could say was wow!!! I didn't install the top myself, but had a local auto/boat upholstry shop do it for me. I'm in the personal watercraft industry, and they have done all of my work in the past, and have had some real nice cars go through their shop. If you need any type of upholstry work done in the South Jersey area, I would reccomend Moorestown auto/boat upholstry without hesitation!! Here are some before & after pics. It's funny how a new top can make the car look brand new again!!

LOVE the glass window! It's obviously smaller than the original plastic, but it has a cool look to it.

 

I agree have a orginal nos asc top for my 1990 but am going too put the same glass window on mine wont have to deal cracking plastic in future

 

You have the wrinkles at the door corners too. I don't feels so bad now seeing as how yours was done professionally and still wrinkled. I did it myself and wrinkled in the corners still working on a solution to it though. Looks good.

 

How much did they charge to install the top?

 

Benc1, the job was completed a week ago, and it's been sitting with the top up since, basking in the sun & warm temps as per what was in the instructions. I can honestly say that as of today, the wrinkles in the corners are slowly disappearing and almost nonexistent! I would have loved to attempt installing this myself, but I know my limits as a technician, and didn't want to risk installing something wrong and damaging the new top with no recourse.
I was charged $500, and was happy to pay it! They also installed the under webbing, new cables, and a new rear bow weatherstrip, all of which I supplied. It looks like while the old top was off, they gave my frame some extra love and either cleaned it, or painted it, it's hard to tell, but was a pleasant surprise none the less!

Mine is in fair condition and when I get to drive it, usually top down anyway !!
