Lubricating Vert Frame

I was wondering if anyone had oiled or graphited their Vert metal framework? Mine works well but I have noticed that the top goes up and down a little harder than I figured it should. I noticed that all the wear points on the metal framework appear to be dry.... I was just wondering what other Vert owners do, do you oil it or let it be? I want to make sure the framework lasts as long as possible as the I have found out the parts are NLA and hard to come by.

On another note.... I am looking for the small metal bent brace that hooks the frame together on the right side, I think its called (no. 2 bow actuator) if anyone has one for sale please pm me.

Thanks!

I don't have a 3rd gen convertible, but I do have a 4th gen convertible. I use white lithium grease and apply it in the hinges with a Q tip. I would be careful about applying too much lube. You wouldn't want it to drip on the interior when the top is up on a hot day.
