ConvertiblesDiscussed here are problems and solutions to convertible specific questions, including difficult to find part numbers and other convertible tech help.
Just bought this. It's an LB9/700R4/2.73 posi. As far as I can tell it is completely rust free being a southern California car. It has 123K miles and will need a bit of TLC with cosmetics. Working on shipping.

I hate you.
I think I need to be more aggressive in looking for another one.
We'll see what this looks like up close. This is the third car I've bought without seeing in the flesh, and the previous two were a lot rougher in person when I got them.
I think/hope the seller was completely up front with his description. I've seen a couple locally, but they were far from mint and had rust issues. On this one, the undercarriage just looks SoCal dusty - like all it needs is a good power washing.
Beautiful car! Looks just like mine. Mine is an RS though. I think your's looks to be in better shape than mine. Mine has 115k miles, bought it from an Amish kid going back from his romspringen, or however you spell it.

Third Gen Expo? It should be out to you by then, right?
I may be picking something up that weekend and would only be 4-5 hours away....might need to detour.
I hadn't even thought about that. I was planning on bringing the '89. Maybe I'll bring both. I'm a little apprehensive about what I'll find when the car gets here, buying it sight unseen and all.

My feeling has always been (in cases of buying cars sight-unseen long distance) is the time & money I saved by not going to see them (airfare or mileage) can be a credit against all of the things I didn't find out about them that need to be corrected. As long as I'm at the point of expectations once that money/those issues are resolved, I'm feeling good.
If there are none, I'm really good, if there's more, a little less good. BTW - I've bought a LOT of cars long distance and sight-unseen.

Agree! I had no problems. The car mut be well represented and all issues must be disclosed. AND..you have to have a good feeling about the deal and a little trust! You'll be fine Chazman
In my driveway. Haven't seen it yet. My son says it's really dirty and tired looking.
It looked pretty good going on the trailer. What happened?? Maybe just a good detail, inside and out. Would hate to see you get rid of it, but if you make a profit, No Foul.
Probably dirty from the transport. Looks like from the pics it wasn't transported in an enclosed structure. You keep your cars highly detailed so a lot of cars probably wouldn't be up to your standards in terms of asthetics lol.
Clean it up and see how it goes after that. They didn't make a lot of 1991-1992 Z28's in the first place and purple haze is a 1992 model year color only which makes it even more rare. I can count on one hand the number of purple haze Z28's I've ever seen and none of them was a convertible.
Are you going to be able to keep all the other cars you have and keep this one too? Hopefully you won't have to sell another car you have in your collection.

I think I'm probably going to sell the white '83. I've been driving that the past couple of days, and it drives so nice, I really hate to do it, but 4 of them is really too much for me, plus I need the space.
That's a California special air bag wheel - they curl up at the corners due to the sun/UV exposure. You can try a heat gun but probably better off just picking up a nice used one locally and swapping it.
