Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: 4.10

1991 Z28 Trunk Latch

I am having an issue with the trunk latch cable. I replaced the trunk key cylinder, believe I got cable assembly back together correctly but when turning the key, I can not get the actuator on the latch to move far enough to release the trunk latch. Any ideas? Are any of these parts still available?

IIRC the coupe and convertible are the same....

If you have the trunk open, I have taken a screwdriver to latch it and then use the key to see what is happening. (don't close the trunk because it will not close, you have to release the mechanism before you can actually close the trunk again.)

You might have to pull up on the latch to get it to release... it has been a while since I messed with one of these.
