How to remove rear speaker grilles?

Do they just pop off with a little persuasion or do I need to remove the panel and get at it from the back?

Thanks, I have been trying to get mine off also and almost used persuasion but thought better of it. I want to try some of that interior fabric paint on them. Both of mine are stained.
