t56 clearance issues
Hi gang, Working towards an LS3/t56 conversion and was wondering if anyone who has done this with a vert has experienced any clearance issues or shifter alignment issues within the trans tunnel as a result of additional supports added to the verts? I am not aware of any differences but thought I would get thoughts from the board. Thx

Re: t56 clearance issues
Apart from the additional supports in the rear fender area the only supports under the car are the riveted in perimeter subframe connectors. Other than the SFC the underside is identical to a hard top. One of the problems you may run into is if you run inner subframe connectors and then want to use a T56 crossmember. The two will compete for space on the back of the front inner subframe rails. Most people end up cutting away part of the T56 mount or the inner subframe connector mount.

Spohn SFC and the tranny mount have issues. I even ran into the problem with my hand made inner subframe connectors and handmade transmission crossmember.
