Header latches looses - adjustments?
My header latches are way loose when the top is closed. I have to ball up a "tootsie roll" of duct tape and fill the gap from the top header latch discs and the windshield header plate and then the top closes firmly. I did not find anything about this sort of adjustment. Maybe I am missing a shim or springs?

Is your top original or has the top been replaced?

Gotta be replaced. Not 100% sure but I think its a replacement.

Is it a recent problem that developed or a problem that was there before you bought this car? I ask because sometimes upholstery shops don't replace the top correctly and it makes the top not sit correctly against the front header bow.

It was like that when I bought it. Top closes nicely and flush with the header its just that the latches don't seem to be dimensioned right. Though everything looks original. Just a 1/4" gap between the closed latches and the header latch port.
