My Top broke.

My Top broke.
Well I had my top down and then put it back up but I forgot to latch it up. So this honda gets next to me and I floor it and my top pulls back and it broke the pass side main arm that folds down.
. My question is What is that material made of? kinda looks like aluminium but not sure as I'm gonna try to weld it. Lmk
